Physical & Performance Testing

Physical & Performance Testing

The physical and usage performance of CASATEX wallcovering products has been tested across various criteria, including color fastness, rubbing fastness, dimensional change and washability. The test results provide technical data for evaluating the surface and performance characteristics of the products under everyday use conditions. These tests serve as technical references supporting the use performance of the products in professional interior applications.

Wallcovering Quality & Certifications

The CASATEX Quality & Certifications section provides an overview of the testing and evaluation carried out to assess wallcovering performance, safety, durability, hygiene and indoor environmental characteristics. Independent laboratory testing supports the evaluation of products under different use conditions. Testing covers a range of criteria, from surface fire behaviour to physical and performance properties, antibacterial and anti-mold characteristics and indoor air quality. ASTM E84 testing provides performance data related to surface flame spread and smoke development, while physical performance testing evaluates properties such as scratch, impact and abrasion resistance, colour fastness, rubbing fastness and washability. Indoor air quality is another part of the CASATEX testing approach, with VOC emissions evaluated in accordance with ISO 16000. Antibacterial activity and mold resistance testing provide additional information relevant to hygiene, maintenance and interior applications.

Additional testing for selected heavy metals and formaldehyde provides another level of material evaluation. Together, these test results and technical reports give architects, interior designers and project professionals a clearer basis for evaluating wallcovering products. CASATEX combines surface design with measurable technical performance, making testing and certification information an integral part of the product selection process.
